JOHN PENDERGRASS-1937 PACKARD CONVERTIBLE
John traded two MGs (1948 and 1951) for the Packard. The car was in Virginia and he began to drive it to Mobile. It died in Ft. Payne, Alabama, coincidentally right in front of the house in which John was born. Through friends in town, he was able to get a mechanic who was willing to work on the car. After three months and many applications of green poultice ($) he got it to Mobile. It now resides at Somerby. John is among the most active DSR members when it comes to participating in club activities. His car is always a special favorite when we visit Westminster Village, or Gordon Oaks retirement home.
